Maybank claimed to have launched the country's first e-commerce portal - Maybank2u.com Cyber Mall by Malaysia's financial institution back in May 2006.
In slightly after 2 years, Public Bank launched its very own e-commerce portal called Public Bank e-Mall. Like Maybank, it features a long list of participating merchants offering products from books, electrical goods, fashion and accessories to jewelry, timepieces and even food and beverages! Some merchants are offering selected products exclusively for Public Bank credit card holders only.
Since 18 February 2008, Public Bank and all other bank credit card holders are entitled to a RM10 eVoucher for every purchase of RM500 and above in a single transaction. The eVoucher can only be used for the next online purchase 1 month from the date the eVoucher is issued. There is no information about when this promotion will end though.
